Stories for change

April 24, 2007

Stories 4 Change is an organization being set up by a long-time friend of MUST’s, Jonathan Blease, to archive stories of positive change around the world and to provide training and facilities to people to help document their own initiatives.

This organization will fund the production of inspirational stories, and create media ‘kits’ of camera and laptop to allow larger numbers of people and organisations to record their stories, as well as providing editing and camera training to help them do so.

The stories 4 change website will collect a growing archive of 2-5 minute stories and use tagging and networking tools to bring people together and connect them to essential information and encouragement.

Stories 4 Change will provide an important source of material for MUST programmes as well as for syndication to general media. Based half in California and half in the UK Jonathan will open up an important doorway to US stories, and stakeholders in sustainability.

    hi

would you be interested in some interesting things that are going on in school?

    i am a maths teacher
just offered a job in cornwall
and they seem to be interested in my ideas of self-organisation

in the last school i was at
an average class in a standard school
    managed to do exceedingly well

my system is based on self-discipline and social-responsibility
and the basis of my working theory
is to develop the social skills in schools
to enable people to work together to create a sustainable global future…

    thanks for your time
    david
